Ms. Katie Wilson - Mills of Charlotte, N.C. passed away on December 11, 2023 Funeral will be held on Friday December 22, 2023 at 10:00a.m with Visitation at 9:30a.m. at Richmond Funeral Home & Cremation Service - Charlotte Chapel.

     It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Katie Mills, who left us on December 11th, 2023.

     Katie Mills was a faithful member of Greater Galilee Baptist Church of Charlotte, North Carolina for over 65 years.

     A loving, caring servant of the Lord, Katie prided herself in caring for the underserved and although she lived a very private life, Katie never kept her love for the Lord a secret. She would take any opportunity to brag about how good and merciful He always was to her.

     Katie enjoyed sewing, baking and spending quality time with her grandchildren. She loved her daily cup of Maxwell House coffee and enjoyed watching sports in the evening and cheering on her favorite teams.

     This matriarch was preceded in death by her father Cleveland Wilson, her Mother Delores Wilson, her sister Elizabeth Wilson, her brother Johnny (Jackie) Wilson and her nephew Christopher Wilson.

     Katie is survived by her children, Orienda Mills-Oliver, Odrien Mills and Orsami Mills; her grandchildren Talia Oliver, Jordan Oliver, Edward Mills, Justice Perry, A’Liegha Perry, Jeremiah Mills, Nehemiah Mills, Shemaiah Mills; her great-grandson Avan Oliver; one brother; William Wilson.
